Passionate about animals and the outdoors, all of Kathleen’s interests end up in the written form one way or another. Kathleen writes and publishes about her experiences as a professional rider and dressage trainer in newsletters, journals and non-fiction accounts. Her incredible experiences being a part owner and handler in Sherlock Hounds Detection Canines, a private pro-active drug dog service that works primarily in schools, has also been the subject of much of her writing.
She also loves the world of fiction and her first book, Forsaken Soldiers, was inspired by her time of being a teaching assistant to Dr. Michael Charney at Colorado State Univeristy. Dr. Charney dedicated much of his work to identify remains from the Vietnam War.
Kathleen grew up in Loveland, CO and currently lives with her husband, their five dogs and four horses in Johnstown, CO. Click on the links to learn about Kathleen’s dressage and photography pursuits. Contact Kathleen.
